Once there were children playing in the fields, regulars propping up the bar of the pub and worshippers in the beautiful church.

But there's no one there now.

The lost Wiltshire village of Imber was claimed by the military as a training ground more than seven decades ago as preparations were made to free Europe from Nazi occupation in the Second World War.

The families that lived there were never able to return. But the ghost of the little community remains in the buildings that have become part of an urban warfare training ground.

Occasionally people are allowed to visit and Swindon and Wiltshire Camera Club member Chrissy Jordan Seymour was there early one morning to capture these atmospheric images.
