British Home Stores was a popular part of Swindon's town centre for decades.
The shop took up a sizeable space on Bridge Street in the 1950s and then moved to the corner of Regent Street and The Parade, where it remained for many years, with several panes of sleek glass showing off its wares and bright signage enticing customers through the entrance.
Plans to set up a new branch of the retailer in 2011 helped retain its presence on our high street for a little longer before the entire company collapsed into administration in 2016.
The department store's vast variety of wares and goods made it a must-visit for shoppers heading into town.
Staff enjoyed hosting events and competitions at the retailer over the years.
In one undated photo, which may be from the 1970s, then-manager John Caddy presents a £50 voucher to Colette Blake while Graham Howes and Jenny Austin are all smiles after winning second and third place prizes.
In a more recent image from 1991, five-year-old Ghislaine Jackson meets BHS staff Suzanne Alford, Sandra Bailey, and Eddie May as part of pre-Christmas festivities.
After the store underwent a major revamp, Postman Pat popped over to say hello to young fans, like Daniel and Ryan O'Donnell.
