A burst water pipe turned a Swindon street into an ice rink.
The river of water on Tovey Road, Pinehurst, turned to ice amid freezing temperatures in recent days.
The burst pipe was first noticed on Friday, January 12, with residents concerned for their safety was the pavement and road turning slippery.
The local resident said: “Gallons and gallons of clean water is flowing down the storm drain and because of the low temperatures through the night the road is becoming a ice rink with danger to drivers and parked vehicles.”
A Thames Water spokesperson said: "We are sorry to customers for delays while working to repair a burst water pipe on Tovey Road.
“Our engineers first attended on Friday 12 January, but were unable to access the pipe due to parked cars.
“Our teams are on site [Tuesday] carrying out the repair, which we expect will be complete in the next 24 hours.”
