MOTORISTS were warned to avoid the northern section of Thamesdown Drive this morning after a three-vehicle collision which saw at least one car engulfed in flames.
The North Swindon road was closed between the A419 junction and Thresher Drive near the Aldi supermarket.
Emergency services are now thought to have left the scene.
Wiltshire Police was called at 6.30am, with Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service on the scene shortly after at 6.41am.
One hose reel jet and two breathing apparatus were used by firefighters, who assisted police officers in making the burning car safe.
Police have not confirmed the types of vehicle involved.
