PETROL heads from across the region gathered in Bishopstone on Sunday for a special classic car day.
Hosted by the Royal Inn, the event has become a highlight for many with more than 100 cars from different eras being on display.
The owners of the vehicles, which also include motorbikes, bring them along and park them up for as long as they want so the collection on display changes throughout the day.
Landlord Tim Finney is the brains behind the day and says he is delighted it has become so popular.
“Coming from a racing family, it is something I have always wanted to get into but never been able to,” he said.
“When I took over the pub I decided to do this. Each year throughout the day we can get anything between 100 and 150 cars here.
“As a business we like to celebrate heritage and mechanical expertise of which there is plenty here.
“It is the ninth year we have held it and this year there are a few more modern ones which is great.
“What’s even better is the sun has come out and the weather is lovely.”
