RIDGEWAY Pony Club member Danielle McCormack, riding Heavenly High Jinks, became the Dengie Intermediate Dressage champion, going one better than last year when the same partnership were reserve champions in the Novice class.
The 17-year-old, from Hook, near Royal Wootton Bassett, said: “Jinks belongs to my cousin, Victoria (Wallace, who lives in Lyneham) and she asked if I would like to compete him.
“He then went back to Victoria for her to compete in the Riding for the Disabled Championship at Hartpury, but I started riding him again in February to get him out competing again, I’m really pleased that we’ve done so well.”
McCormack has worked her way up through the ranks with the Ridgeway branch of the Pony Club and was supported on her championship journey by a team of committee and fellow members, as well as family and friends.
