A CYCLIST has been taken to hospital following a crash involving a car and a stolen bike.
Police officers and paramedics were called to the incident on Kingshill, near the junction with Dunsford Close, shortly after midday.
A passing motorist who witnessed the aftermath of the incident described seeing a number of police vehicles, an ambulance and a paramedic rapid response car from the South Western Ambulance Service.
Wiltshire Police have confirmed that a male cyclist was injured when he collided with a Honda car.
He was treated at the scene before being taken to the Great Western Hospital - the nature of his injuries are unknown.
A spokesman for the force said: "The bicycle involved in the collision is believed to have been stolen from outside Robert Le Kyng School just prior to the collision.
"Our enquiries are ongoing."
