A MAN was taken to Bristol after suffering a heart attack - in the middle of rush hour traffic.
Paramedics were called to Great Western Way shortly after 5.10pm on Wednesday, following reports that a man had gone into cardiac arrest.
Traffic ground to a standstill, as police officers closed part of the road between North Star Avenue and Bruce Street Bridges.
The man, whose age is not known, was taken to Bristol Royal Infirmary by land ambulance.
The road was reopened before 6.30pm.
