A FLAMING Mercedes in a Swindon retail outlet’s car park alarmed shoppers.
Firefighters raced to the scene after being called at 10.34am.
A spokesman for the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “One crew from the Stratton fire station was mobilised to a report of a vehicle fire located in the car park of the Orbital centre.
“Crews confirmed a vehicle fire in the rear of the park car.
“Two breathing apparatus wearers and one hose reel jet extinguished the fire and make the vehicle safe.”
