A MAN died after suffering a cardiac arrest while at a Swindon supermarket earlier this morning.
Police cars and ambulances raced to the Sainsbury's in Bridgmead around 9.30am.
The Wiltshire Air Ambulance landed in a nearby field at Mannington.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said:“Officers were called to the Sainsbury’s store in Bridgemead, Swindon, shortly before 9.30am this morning to reports of a medical incident.
“Sadly, a man in his 40s was confirmed deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
“This is being treated as a sudden, non-suspicious death.
“Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this time.”
The shop is currently closed.
