A Mazda was gutted by fire this evening.
Firefighters from Swindon's Drove Road fire station were called to reports of a car fire on the A4361 at Elms Crossroads, Broad Hinton, shortly before 7.15pm on Saturday.
The fire was put out by two firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus and a hose.
The still-smouldering shell of the Mazda 6 could be seen in a layby at the side of the Wroughton to Avebury road at 8pm.
The road was closed briefly, but had been reopened by 7.50pm.
