POLICE officers and firefighters were at the scene of a car fire on Great Western Way earlier today.
Traffic queued near the Mannington Roundabout while the emergency services deal with the fire.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: "We were called to a 4x4 car fire by the Mannington Roundabout at 12.15pm. Fire attended to extinguish the fire.
"No passengers of the vehicle were injured and the incident was over by approximately 12.45pm and the surrounding roads reopened."
A Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "We were called to a vehicle fire on Mannington Roundabout at 12.18pm. A crew from Westlea attended the incident which involved a 4x4 well alight. Two breathing apparatus wearers used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire – the stop came at 1pm."
