A LORRY caught fire in a residential area of Swindon today.
A 999 call came in to the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service from Garsington Drive in Oakhurst at 10.29am.
Fire engines from Stratton and central Swindon's fire stations went to the scene while police closed the road.
A DWFRS spokesman said: "Firefighters are currently dealing with a lorry fire which is well alight on Garsington Drive in Swindon.
"Crews are using two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire."
The fire is now out and the charred remains of the lorry is still parked on the street.
