A body has been found in the canal that runs through Swindon.
Motorists reported seeing one of the roads above the M4 near Wroughton being closed by the emergency services at around midday today, with police and firefighters at the scene.
The road has since been reopened.
Wiltshire Police later confirmed the reason for this response.
A spokesman said: "Police were called to Yelland Walk in East Wichel, Swindon, shortly before 11.30am this morning (February 21) following a report that a body had been found in the canal.
"Enquiries are currently ongoing."
