Wiltshire Police are continuing their search for a wanted 'dangerous' man believed to be in Swindon, as extensive enquiries are carried out.

Michael Cook is wanted for a number of offences and has been issued two warrants after failing to appear in court for allegations of assault and drug dealing.

Officers say they consider the 28-year-old to be dangerous and have warned the public not to approach him if they see him.

An appeal for the wanted man was last put out on March 5 after a robbery in Swindon, and over one month later, he is nowhere to be seen.

Anybody with information relating to Cook’s whereabouts has been urged to contact police.

“We believe that Mr Cook is still in the Swindon area, or at least coming back on a regular basis," said Detective Inspector Dean Garvin of Wiltshire Police.

“Extensive enquiries have been ongoing to locate him and we know that he is hiding and there are people helping him.

“He needs to be put before a court, and I would ask the public to help us by letting us know if they see him or know where he is.

“You can do so by calling 101 or 999 in an emergency, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by visiting their website.”
