Firefighters from multiple stations rushed to help one farmer tackle a barn fire on the edge of Swindon.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were called out to a farm in Shrivenham on Sunday evening, October 6, after reports of a fire in a local barn.
Multiple Wiltshire fire engines were sent to the scene from Stratton St Margaret station in Swindon, along with firefighters and engines from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
One farmer was seen removing bales from the barn using a telehandler to help reduce the risk of the fire spreading, while emergency responders got to work putting out the blaze.
Photos taken by Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service at the fire show the barn blackened and covered in smoke while tall flames can be seen inside the barn.
Wiltshire firefighters had left the scene by 8pm on Sunday, but Oxfordshire firefighters remained to tackle the blaze.
It is unclear how long it took to put the fire out, or the extent of the damage done, but Oxfordshire Fire Service has been contacted for more information.
A Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service spokesperson said: "Both pumps were mobilised to a barn fire in Shrivenham alongside Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
"A local farmer removed bales using a telehandler to mitigate the risk of fire spread.
"Both pumps were released and left in Oxfordshire FRS hands."
