BOXER Jamie Cox and celebrity Johnny Ball are just two of about 280 lucky movie goers who will be at a sneak preview of the new Bond film in Swindon.
To help raise money for the NSPCC, Empire Cinema is hosting a preview screening of Quantum of Solace before it goes on general release and tickets are up for sale.
A red carpet, cocktails and canapies will make the exclusive event extra.
Jamie said: “I saw Daniel Craig as James Bond in Casino Royale and he brought a new dynamic to the character. I am going along to the film to support the NSPCC, which is a good cause.
“The film should be great and it will be a good fundraising event. Hopefully lots of people will buy tickets and come along to support the charity.”
The latest 007 adventure sees Bond seek revenge for a death and travels to Haiti and Bolivia. People are being asked to dress in their best for the screening on Thursday, October 30, which costs £17.50 with all proceeds going to help local children.
NSPCC volunteer Sue Hooper said: “There are very few of these previews taking place around the country so people in Swindon will be among the first to see one of the most eagerly anticipated films of this year.
“They will also miss the queues. It is something quite special.”
Former Think of a Number TV presenter Johnny Ball also backs the drive to reach the figure £110,000 and has supported the NSPCC for years.
The event is being organised to help the NSPCC raise £110,000 during its 110th anniversary in Swindon and North Wiltshire.
And 153 of the most vulnerable children received specialist help at the Swindon therapeutic centre. To get your ticket call 0844 8920562 or email swindon110@nspcc.org.uk.
