A FIRM is really cleaning up after a £100,000 investment from one of the stars of Dragon’s Den.
Thanks to the cash injection by Duncan Bannatyne, UK Commercial Cleaning Services’ has secured a new site on the Kembrey Park Business Park and expect to create up to 20 new jobs.
The new Swindon depot will give the company access to a number of cities.
Since managing director Tony Earnshaw founded the company on a rundown estate in Tyne and Wear six years ago.
Mr Earnshaw stared out with a modest window cleaning round he bought for £300.
He made around £6,000 a month in profit, eventually selling the round for £16,000 to launch UK Commercial Cleaning.
Tony said: “It’s amazing to see the growth over the last six years despite the economic downturn, from its humble beginnings to where we are now with new contracts and depots across the UK.
“Choosing Swindon as a hub for our operations in the south was obvious as it gives us access to a number of key cities along the M4 corridor unlocking huge business potential.”
Coun Rex Barnett, Mayor of Swindon, said: “We are delighted to welcome UK Commercial Cleaning to Swindon.
“We have a strong track record of attracting inward investment to our thriving industrial and commercial centre given the expertise and great transport links we have around the region which are vital for any business to succeed.”
The company’s expansion led to it employing a crew of 30 staff and covering an area as far as the north coast of Scotland.
Following the opening of many new industrial premises throughout the UK, a fleet of fully equipped vans now provides a service with coverage for all aspects of industrial and commercial deep cleaning.
