COMEDIAN Rhod Gilbert has pulled out of all his live engagements this weekend having gone down with pneumonia.
The TV comedian, pictured, was due to perform at Swindon’s Oasis Leisure Centre on Friday to a sell-out crowd of 1,600.
The performance has been rescheduled for Friday, February 4, 2011, at the Oasis. All tickets will be valid for the re-arranged date.
Derek Aldridge, te manager of the Wyvern Theatre, which handles ticket sales said: “We are so sorry for all the people who have been looking forward to the gig for sometime.
“I know how disappointed people will be. Rhod says he, too, is disappointed not to keep any of his live engagements.’’ Rhod has been diagnosed with pneumonia and given antibiotics and steroids and has had to cancel all his gigs under the doctor’s advice.
Customers who can not make the new date can claim a full refund by returning the original ticket to the Wyvern Theatre box office.
