THE Daleks will be invading the Central Library as part of a sci-fi celebration.
The creatures, who are Dr Who’s sworn enemies, will be at the branch in Regent Circus on Saturday, 13 November collecting for charity and meeting library users from 10am.
The day will feature a Dalek colouring competition judging in the morning and a sci-fi dressing up competition in the afternoon.
Local children’s sci-fi author David Johnson will also be holding writing workshops for budding authors throughout the day and signing copies of his Crystal Quest book series.
To celebrate the sci-fi event, the Central Library will be repeating the Doctor Who reading and listening challenge from now until November 30 for children aged 17 and under. Further information is available from the library. The Daleks will be supplied by Ady Davies from Corsham, the organiser of the Charity Daleks organisation, which uses science fiction to raise money for local and national charities.
