STAR of the stage and screen John Barrowman is returning to Swindon later this year.

The performer, who is best known for playing Captain Jack Harkness in the BBC series Torchwood and Doctor Who, is bringing his new tour back to the Oasis on October 31. He was last in the town in October when his show went down a glittery storm with the audience.

“Touring round the country doing live performances for all my fans has to be one of my favourite times of the year,” he said.

“I love the thrill of a live performance, the excitement of singing some new and fantastic music. I can’t wait to see you.”

The tour coincides with the release of his latest album, Best of John Barrowman.

Tickets for the tour, which kicks off in Northampton on October 19, cost £22.50, £30 and £40 and go on sale tomorrow at 9.30am.
