MOST husbands would be furious if they discovered their wife had been kissing another man.
But Highworth man Phil Poulton encouraged it - when the object of his wife's affection was legendary Hollywood lothario Jack Nicholson.
Phil, wife Lesley and her mother Wendy Brown had been to see an Elvis tribute act in London's Piccadilly on Tuesday.
The trio were walking past the Wolseley restaurant when they were embroiled in a paparazzi scrum with the 70-year-old movie legend.
"I couldn't believe it," said Lesley, 38.
"We literally bumped into Jack Nicholson, he was absolutely lovely."
Bold Phil, 39, asked the One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest actor to plant a kiss on his 64-year-old mother-in-law.
But in a haze of flashbulbs Jack instead grabbed an unwitting Lesley and enjoyed a passionate smooch.
Lesley, who works at Brooks of Highworth bakery and coffee shop, said: "It was amazing, I don't know what was going through my mind, it was like argh I'm snogging Jack Nicholson!' - talk about accommodating.
"I have always been a huge fan I loved Something's Gotta Give and As Good As It Gets but meeting him in the flesh was just amazing - I can't stop grinning."
Not to be outdone by her daughter Wendy also vied for Jack's attentions and demanded a peck on the cheek.
Phil said: "It was hilarious, in true Jack Nicholson style, he raised his sunglasses, grinned and snogged Wendy too.
"It was such a sight, all the cameras were flashing. We'd all had a bit to drink and were all in really high spirits."
Jack was in London promoting his latest film The Bucket List, in which he stars alongside Morgan Freeman.
He was dining at the up-market restaurant with friends but popped outside occasionally for a cigarette.
Phil, Lesley and Wendy had missed him just hours earlier when they passed photographers snapping the actor outside the Ritz.
Phil said: "At the time we couldn't see who was being snapped, we must have just missed him, but our eventual meeting is something to remember.
"I guess if your wife is going to be kissed by another man it may as well be Jack Nicholson."
Lesley added: "I hear he's single so I am expecting a call any day now."
