ROBINS number one Peter Kildemand has been handed the wild card spot for the Danish GP in Copenhagen later this month.

Having served as track reserve during the last two years, scoring two points from three rides last season, the Dane will now wear the famour number 16 race jacket at Parken on June 28 and take on the best riders in the worldl.

“To be in the starting line-up is a dream come true," Kildemand told the Speedway GP official website.

"It’s one of the biggest events in Denmark. I’m really looking forward to that. Last year I was reserve and got a few rides. It was really amazing.

“Getting the wild card was one of my goals this season really. I think I’ve started out pretty well. I’ve been scoring really consistently.

“Of course I’m happy to have this chance. It’s always tough to get it in Denmark with so many good riders. I’ve been the reserve two years in a row now, so I thought it had to be my year. It happened for me, so that’s really good.

“We’ll take each heat step-by-step, but if I have a good day, ride consistently and just score some points, hopefully I’ll be in the semis and we’ll see from there.”
