JACK Barthram has made a quick recovery from an abductor tear and is available to manager Mark Cooper for Swindon Town’s first game of the new League One season tomorrow.
Barthram was originally expected to miss the visit of Scunthorpe United after picking up the injury during pre-season and the former Tottenham youngster was absent from the friendly games against Leeds United and Aston Villa.
However, the 20-year-old has returned to full fitness and trained with his teammates on Thursday in preparation for the clash with Scunny.
Cooper told the Advertiser: “Barthram is training so there must be a game on Saturday. If you look at our squad - every player that’s fit will be in the 18 because that’s basically what we’ve got.”
