THE sun shone for this year’s Swindon Handicapped tournament, with 24 teams playing from across the Swindon and District Netball Association League.
Each team played five matches in the group stages, with two teams from each group going through to the quarter-finals, winners then going through to the semis and eventually the finals.
Fairford A and Raychem A made it to the final, which proved to be a closely-fought match.
At half-time, Fairford A led by one but the second period saw Raychem pull away, eventually taking victory by six goals.
All-in-all, it was a great day enjoyed by everyone and a brilliant end to the season.
During the tournament, SDNA division winners and runners-up were presented with medals and trophies.
