Rob Page has had to tinker with the way his side play from last season’s League Two winning side having lost a few key individuals.

They romped to the league title with plenty of width and pace but with Ricky Holmes and Nicky Adams both departing the Cobblers in the summer, Page has had to have a re-think.

With the addition of Paul Anderson on deadline day, Northampton are a much more difficult side to break down, having kept four clean sheets already in the league to date.

Having made the step up, Northampton found it difficult to find the back of the net in the early weeks but a 3-2 win over MK Dons seemed to remedy that and a 4-0 success at home to Southend at the weekend sees them lying in fifth place.

SWINDON Town fans will be all too familiar with the name Alex Revell and possibly for not so favourable reasons.

The 33-year-old spent a short stint on loan at the County Ground during the 2009/10 season when he joined from Southend United.

He made seven starts for Swindon, scoring twice, but it is his goals against Swindon that have become a sore point.

The striker has played in 10 games against Town since December 2007 and has found the back of the net eight times in that period.

It will not be met with great fanfare then that he is currently in a rich vein of form for the Cobblers, having scored six goals already this term, three coming from the penalty spot.

Revell, apart from against Town, has never been a prolific scorer but is key to the way Northampton play and his work rate is second to none.

TREATMENT ROOM

ROB Page is in a fortunate position heading into tonight’s game in the fact that he has virtually a full squad to pick from.

The only injury is left-back Raheem Hanley, who has only made one substitute appearance for the club so far this term.

The 22-year-old, who was banned from driving last year for 14 months for drink driving, is struggling with an ankle injury.

As a result, it is likely that Page will stick with the same team that won so convincingly at home to Southend United on Saturday, with all four goals coming in the second half.
