Matthew Davies rates Swindon Town's players following their 1-1 drawb with Southend United.
Lawrence Vigouroux – 7
Solid outing for the Swindon keeper who made a few good saves to keep the score down.
Darnell Furlong - 6
Another quiet evening for the loan man, who was solid enough at the back, but failed to offer anything offensively.
Raphael Branco - 6
The Brazilian did what he had to do, but struggled with the constant pressure Simon Cox and Nile Ranger put him under, booked.
Lloyd Jones -6
Was shrugged off of the ball far too easily for Southend’s opening goal, also struggled with Ranger in particular, but grew into the game.
Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill -6
An energetic performance from the defender, but when he had the ball higher up the pitch he rarely did anything with it.
Sean Murray (Off for Norris 60’) -6
Was bright in the first half with a few shots from range, but faded in the second half.
Rodgers – 5
Another passive performance from the midfielder who dipped in and out of the game, with loose passing at times
Conor Thomas -6
An unspectacular display from the former Coventry man who put in a good shift from midfield, found Obika for the equaliser. Booked.
John Goddard (Off for Tom Smith 83’)- 6
Showed glimpses of why he was brought to the County Ground, a good chance in the second half forced a save from Mark Oxley, struggled with the physicality at times.
Nathan Delfouneso -5
Should have added to his goal tally after missing a header from a matter of yards at the back post.
Jonathan Obika -7
Was great in the first half and held the ball up well, popped up with the equaliser in the second half.
Luke Norris (On for Murray 60’) – 6
Hard working as ever, but never a threat for Swindon as he continues to search for his first league goal, did well defensively.
Tom Smith (On for John Goddard 83’) -6
The game was very much alive despite his late introduction, but the youngster failed to get into this one.
Unused substitutes
Will Henry, Ellis Iandolo, Jake Evans, Jordan Young and Scott Twine
