TOWN were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw at home to Millwall this afternoon, with both teams reduced to 10 men.
Scott Cuthbert's 15th-minute header gave Swindon a deserved early lead but they were dealt a blow soon after when Jonathan Douglas was given his marching orders for a late tackle.
Millwall's Andy Frampton was dismissed on 64 minutes following a challenge on Jon-Paul McGovern and it looked as though Town would hold out for all three points.
But Lions' substitute Danny Schofield struck with eight minutes remaining to grab a share of the spoils.
Here are the key moments from today's game:
Three mins: Some neat interplay sees Jonathan Douglas, Simon Ferry and Alex Revell combine to free Ben Hutchinson, but the front man skews his shot horribly wide.
Four mins: Revell's pass picks out Hutchinson wide on the right of the penalty area and he takes it first time, forcing Millwall keeper David Forde into a smart save from the half-volley.
Six mins: Revell tees up Jon-Paul McGovern around 20 yards out, but his curled effort is easily saved by Forde.
14 mins: James Henry's low delivery is met by Jack Smith at the near post and his touch looks to have diverted tht ball past David Lucas, until Town's keeper pushes it onto the post before smothering at the second attempt.
15 mins (GOAL 1-0 Cuthbert) McGovern sends a corner deep into the penalty area where Scott Cuthbert rises highest above two defenders to direct the ball out of Forde's reach and into the back of the net.
24 mins: Town work a corner out of the area where Ferry tees up Callum Kennedy, but the full-back's strike from 30 yards is high and wide.
27 mins (RED CARD): Douglas flies into a tackle on Jimmy Abdou - it's very late but clumsy rather than malicious.
Millwall's players are far from happy and rush to remonstrate with Douglas before referee Kevin Wright pulls out a straight red card for the midfielder.
37 mins: Tony Craig meets David Martin's corner at the far post but can only head straight at Lucas.
50 mins: McGovern tries his luck direct from a corner, but his inswinging effort is clawed away from under the crossbar by Forde.
54 mins: Millwall defender Andy Frampton heads well over from a right-sided corner.
59 mins: Neil Harris takes advantage of a slip by Gordon Greer to get down the left and into the box.
His chipped cross to the far post is met on the volley by Steve Morison but somehow the striker fails to hit the target from eight yards, blazing well over.
64 mins (RED CARD): Millwall are now reduced to 10 men. A bouncing ball is contested by McGovern and Frampton right in front of the dugouts, with the Town midfielder just getting there first.
Frampton follows through with his late challenge, and Mr Wright has no hesitation in pulling out the red card.
Kevin Amankwaah and Harris are both also booked for their parts in a fracas which followed the dismissal.
72 mins: Revell receives the ball inside the area with his back to goal, spins his marker but fires well over.
73 mins: Danny Schofield works himself space for a cross and delivers to the far post. Morison meets it with his head but can only place it into the side-netting.
77 mins: Millwall's best chance. A cross from the right finds its way through to Harris deep in the penalty area.
The front man curls an effort past Lucas, only to see it rebound off the post and get scrambled away to safety.
82 mins (GOAL 1-1 Schofield): Morison beats Greer to a delivery from the right and heads down for Schofield, who takes it on the half volley and rifles it past Lucas from 12 yards out.
90 mins: Chris Hackett's corner is met by Craig around six yards out but his thunderous header just clears the bar. It's a let-off.
