A historic Wiltshire cinema will open its doors for the first time in nearly two years this weekend.
Devizes locals have not been able to view the inside of the Palace Cinema, which has sat in the Market Place for over a century, since a one night only sneak peek in November 2021.
Those hoping to view the inside of the cinema can do so between noon and 4pm on Saturday, September 16.
No booking will be required to visit the event and entry to the premises will be free.
While mobility scooters will not be allowed in the building, there is ramped disabled access for wheelchairs on the ground floor level.
Any access requirements to the stalls should be communicated in advance to 01380722971.
Other buildings which will be open during the day include the Devizes Town Lock-up, which used to house prisoners overnight in the 19th century, and the Masonic Hall which will offer an insight into Freemasonry.
The Wiltshire Museum will offer free entry during the day while there will also be guides in place at St John the Baptist and St James’ churches.
