A choir which has raised more than £2 million for charity is gearing up for its latest performance this weekend.
Kentwood Choir has been performing in Swindon for almost 60 years, and their latest Christmas Cracker is set to take place on Sunday, November 19.
The choir, which is named after choirmaster Sheila Harrod’s late dog, consists of many members who have been a part of the choir for more than 40 years.
Its Christmas show will be at the Wyvern and will be raising money for Wiltshire Search and Rescue. The choir are being supported by the Aldbourne Brass Band.
Sheila shared her adoration for the members of her choir and described them as her family, having lost her husband and having no close relatives living in the country.
She said: “My choir are like my family now and they are wonderful, they are so hard working.
“I just love my work.
“Music is such a healer and it is such a wonderful thing.
"I love the theatre, it is not too big, it is not too small and I love performing as do the choir.”
