A busy route through Swindon has been closed off for days - and will remain shut for a little longer.
Motorists trying to travel along Greenbridge Road between Marlowe Avenue and the B4006 Dorcan Way found their path obstructed by several cones, signs, and orange fencing.
Signs indicate that the closure began on Monday, April 8, and is expected to last until Friday, April 12.
Swindon Borough Council's roadworks website offers a slightly different description, with the closure covering the Greenbridge Road junction with Marlowe Avenue, near Nationwide's eco-friendly Oakfield housing development, with a diversion in place via Maitland Road, Frobisher Drive, and Courtenay Road.
It suggests the work being carried out is resurfacing works as part of the 278 works for the Lovells Development which the online notice indicates began at 8am on April 2 and will be finished by midnight on the evening of April 10.
There are pockets of heavy congestion on Greenbridge Road, particularly on the approach to the start of the works, but the mini-roundabout junction with Dorcan Way has no worse queues than usual.
