Two teenage girls have found themselves in court over an alleged assault at Swindon railway station.
The pair, both 16 and who cannot be named for legal reasons, were charged with assaulting two separate people during the same incident on October 7 last year.
Both also faced charges of sending a voice message to the same person, who was also one of the alleged assault victims, that was in whole or part, of an indecent or grossly offensive nature for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety to the recipient or to any other person.
They appeared at Swindon Magistrates' Court on May 7 but the case could not go any further as it was revealed that the prosecution were still waiting on paperwork for the police.
Magistrates also heard that one of the two accused teenagers, who had never been to court before, could have their charges settled via an out-of-court disposal.
As a result, the case was adjourned until May 21.
Unless the out-of-court disposal has been finalised beforehand, both of the girls will be required to return to Swindon Magistrates' Court on that date, if it has been finalised, only one will return to enter a plea.
