Tributes have been paid to a highly influential Swindon Town Fan who has recently died.
Marc Walters ran SAS Travel for many years, and was a passionate fan of the Robins, not missing a game for decades.
Marc died last week, and shortly afterwards Swindon Town Football Club released a tribute to him.
A spokesperson said: "Swindon Town is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Marc Walters.
"As well as running SAS Travel for many years, Marc was a passionate fan and hadn't missed a game since 1989.
"He will be sorely missed by family and friends. RIP Marc."
STFC Supporters Club also issued a statement which said: "STFC Supporters Club It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of Marc Walters.
"Marc was a devoted fan of Swindon Town and ran SAS Travel for many years.
"Marc was a friend first and foremost to many of us. We shall miss him deeply. We thank him for all he did for Town supporters RIP."
And Swindon Town figure Vic Morgan also paid tribute to his 'mate'.
He said: "Marc Walters was a mate. Marc Walters was the man who ran SAS Travel. Above all though, Marc Walters was a Swindon Town fan.
"This was his football club, he loved following his team home and away and had not missed a game since 1989.
"He was someone who worked tirelessly to enable Swindon supporters to travel to the far-flung corners of the country.
"For years he drove to games with our friends, including Rob Hartley and me.
"Recently he'd won the Ann Alder volunteer award from the official supporters club. Ann, who also recently passed away, was instrumental in running the travel club before Marc took the reins.
"For many of us, Marc was a friend. RIP Marc you'll be so missed."
Over a hundred members of the public also shared their condolences at the news.
One said: "Terribly sad news. Thoughts are with Marc's family and friends"
Another added: "This is really sad news. He was a real gentleman and it was always a pleasure to chat with him in the car park before getting on one of the SAS coaches.
"My sincere condolences to his family and friends."
