Notice of Publication of the draft revised Swindon Statement of Community Involvement

Swindon Borough Council has published a 'Draft Revised Statement of Community Involvement in Planning' for an eight-week period of consultation until 6.00pm on the 8th January 2013.

Swindon Borough Council recognises the value of community involvement in identifying and articulating local community needs and priorities, improving service delivery and informing policy and strategy within Swindon.

The purpose of the SCI is to provide clear, concise guidance on how the Council has and will work with communities through the production of the Local Plan.

The draft is available for public consultation from Tuesday 13th November 2012 for an eight week period, until 6pm, Tuesday 8th January 2013. The document will be available for public inspection and comment at Swindon Borough Council One-Stop-Shop Reception Desk, Wat Tyler House, Beckhampton Street, Swindon (Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6pm) and can also be viewed at all libraries within Swindon Borough, during normal opening hours of those libraries.

All documentation can also be viewed and downloaded on Swindon Borough Council's website at: www.swindon.gov.uk/sci or the document can be purchased for £5.50 (including Postage and Packaging) from Swindon Borough Council on (01793) 466513 or email forwardplanning@swindon.gov.uk.

Representations should be sent in writing to Planning Services, Freepost SCE5251, Swindon Borough Council, Wat Tyler House West, Beckhampton Street, Swindon SN1 2JH to arrive no later than 6.00pm on Tuesday 8th January 2013.
