Notice of Confirmation of An Order - Bridleways and Footpaths South Marston/Highworth
On 5 December 2012 Swindon Borough Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert a length of Bridleway 8 at Nightingale Wood in the parish of South Marston, running from OS grid reference
SU42120 18823 to SU42082 18815, on to a line running from OS grid reference SU42120 18819 to SU42082 18815;
to divert Footpath 12 at Nightingale Wood in the parish of South Marston, running from OS grid reference SU42028 18836 to SU42102 18873 on to a line running from OS grid reference SU42037 18836 to SU42108 18860;
to divert a length of Footpath 17 at Nightingale Wood in the parish of South Marston running from OS grid reference SU42084 18816 to SU42028 18836 on to a line running from OS grid reference SU42085 18816 to SU42028 18835;
and to divert Footpath 57 at Roves Farm in the parish of Highworth running from OS grid reference SU42102 18873 to SU42106 18875 on to a line running from OS grid reference SU42108 18860 to SU42112 18863.
A copy of the order and the order maps may be seen at The One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Beckhampton Street, Swindon from 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and maps, costing £15.00, may be purchased there.
The order comes into force on 23 January 2013, but if a person aggrieved by the order wishes to question its validity, or that of any provision contained within it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, that person may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 42 days of the date of this notice make an application to the High Court.
