Notice of Confirmation of an Order Highways Act 1980 Swindon Borough Council Footpaths 143b, 178, 181, 183, 196, 349 & 352 Swindon Order 2012

On 9 January 2013 Swindon Borough Council confirmed the above order made under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the order as confirmed is:

to extinguish Footpath 143B, giving access to the front of nos.13-23 Burghley Close;
to extinguish part of Footpath 178, giving access to the rear of nos.1-23 Mildenhall Way;
to extinguish part of Footpath 181, giving access to the front of nos.1-11 Mildenhall Way;
to extinguish part of Footpath 181, giving access to the front of nos.13-23 Mildenhall Way;
to extinguish part of Footpath 181, giving access to the front of nos.12-22 Mildenhall Way;
to extinguish part of Footpath 181, giving access to the front of nos.24-34 Mildenhall Way;
to extinguish part of Footpath 183, giving access to the rear of nos.35-57 Chippenham Walk;
to extinguish part of Footpath 183, giving access to the front of nos.35-45 Chippenham Walk;
to extinguish part of Footpath 183, giving access to the front of nos.47-57 Chippenham Walk;
to extinguish part of Footpath 196, giving access to the front of nos.13-23 Staverton Way;
to extinguish part of Footpath 349, giving access to the front of nos.74-84 Downton Road;
to extinguish part of Footpath 349, giving access to the front of nos.86-96 Downton Road;
to extinguish part of Footpath 352, giving access to the front of nos.2-12 Avebury Road;
and to extinguish part of Footpath 352, giving access to the front of nos.14-24 Avebury Road

All in the unparished area of Swindon.

A copy of the confirmed order and the order maps may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, between 8.30am and 6pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and maps, costing £15.00, may be purchased there.

The order comes into force on 1 March 2013, but if a person aggrieved by the order wishes to question its validity, or that of any provision contained within it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, that person may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 42 days of the date of this notice make an application to the High Court.
