Swindon Borough Council Public Path Order (Footpath 123) 2007

On the 23 January 2013 Swindon Borough Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert a length of footpath in the Westlecott area known as footpath 123 Swindon. That length of footpath running from OS Grid Reference SU 1457 8260 at a point 278 metres north of the M4 motorway, running in a southerly direction for approximately 173 metres to OS Grid Reference SU 1453 8243 at a point 100 metres north of the M4 motorway. A new line will run from OS Grid Reference SU 1457 8260 running in a southerly direction parallel with the existing footpath to OS Grid Reference OS SU 1453 8243, having a definitive width of 2.0 metres.

A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map may be seen free of charge at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Beckhampton Street, Swindon from 9.00am to 4.30pm on Mondays to Fridays. Copies of the order and map, costing £15.00, may be purchased there.

The order comes into force on 23 January 2013 but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 20 February 2013 make an application to the High Court.
