In accordance with the above Regulations, Local Authorities are required to publish the sums paid to its Members in respect of allowances.

During the financial year 2012/13, Swindon Borough Council made payments to Members of the Council after tax to the value of Â£495,330.

These payments are made up of a number of elements, including basic allowances and special responsibilities.
