Notice of Confirmation of an Order - Swindon Borough Council

Footpath 1 Wroughton Extinguishment Order (2013 Order)
On the 12 June 2013 Swindon Borough Council confirmed the above order made under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to extinguish a length of the footpath running from OS Grid Ref SU 144821 at the junction with bridleway 42 Wroughton running in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 459 metres to OS Grid Reference SU 143817 and then running in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 370 metres to OS Grid Reference SU 144813 at the junction with Inverary Road as shown on the order map by a continuous bold line.

Bridleway 79 Wroughton Creation Order (2013 Order)
On the 12 June 2013 Swindon Borough Council confirmed the above order made under section 26 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to create a length of bridleway running from OS Grid Reference SU 144821 at the junction with bridleway 42 Wroughton running generally in a south westerly direction for approximately 463 metres to OS Grid Reference SU 143817 and then turning in a south easterly direction for approximately 379 metres to OS Grid Reference SU 144813 at the junction with Inverary Road, Wroughton, having a definitive width of 3.5 metres.

 

A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map may be seen free of charge at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Beckhampton Street, Swindon from 9.00am to 4.30pm on Mondays to Fridays. Copies of the order and map, costing £15.00, may be purchased there.

The order comes into force on 12 June 2013 but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 25 June 2013 make an application to the High Court.
