Notice of Making an Order Highways Act 1980

Footpaths 51, 54, 55, 559 & 561 Swindon Order 2013

The above order was made on 24 July 2013 under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the order will be to extinguish Footpath 51 from OS grid reference SU13224 84701 to SU13163 84625; Footpath 54 from SU13224 84701 to SU13313 84657; and Footpath 55 from SU13163 84625 to SU 13313 84657, all at Mannington Recreation Ground; Footpath 559 from SU17381 84532 to SU 17430 84524 at Bodmin Close; and part of Footpath 561 from SU17404 84784 to SU 17410 84802 at Twyford Close, all in the unparished area of Swindon.

A copy of the order and the order maps may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and maps, costing £15.00, may be purchased there.

Any representations about, or objections to, the order may be sent or delivered, in writing, addressed to the Rights of Way Mapping Officer, Swindon Borough Council, Wat Tyler House West, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, SN1 2JH, not later than 23 August 2013, stating the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any made are withdrawn, Swindon Borough Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
