Notice of Public Consultation of The Old Town Hall and Corn Exchange Draft Planning Brief

The Old Town Hall and Corn Exchange Draft Planning Brief has been prepared by Swindon Borough Council. Public consultation on the Draft Planning Brief and accompanying documents will run for 8 weeks from 30th July to 24th September 2013.

The Old Town Hall and Corn Exchange Draft Planning Brief sets out a planning and design framework to inform decisions about the future of the site and has been prepared against the background of national and local policy considerations, including the National Planning Policy Framework (2012), the Swindon Borough Local Plan 2026 Submission Document (June 2013) and historical context and analysis.

Copies of the Old Town Hall and Corn Exchange Draft Planning Brief and accompanying documents will be available for public inspection at: Swindon Borough Council One-Stop Shop Reception Desk, Wat Tyler House, Beckhampton Street, Swindon (Monday to Friday 9.00am-6.00pm).

The Planning Brief will also be available to view at the Central, Old Town, North Swindon, West Swindon and Highworth Libraries and on the Borough's website, at: www.swindon.gov.uk/spd.

In addition the draft Planning Brief will be exhibited at the Arts Centre, Devizes Road, Old Town, on Tuesday 30th July and Wednesday 31st July 2013 between the hours of 3.0pm and 7.0pm.

Representations should be made in writing to: Freepost SCE5251, Masterplanning and Design Team, 5th Floor Wat Tyler House West Beckhampton Street, Swindon SN1 2JH to arrive no later than 5.00pm on Tuesday 24th September 2013.
