Notice of Confirmation of an Order Highways Act 1980 Swindon Borough Council

On 28 August 2013 Swindon Borough Council confirmed the above order made under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to extinguish Footpath 51 from OS grid reference SU13224 84701 to SU13163 84625; Footpath 54 from SU13224 84701 to SU13313 84657; and Footpath 55 from SU13163 84625 to SU 13313 84657, all at Mannington Recreation Ground; Footpath 559 from SU17381 84532 to SU 17430 84524 at Bodmin Close; and part of Footpath 561 from SU17404 84784 to SU 17410 84802 at Twyford Close, all in the unparished area of Swindon.

A copy of the order as confirmed and the order maps may be inspected free of charge at the One Stop Shop, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and maps, costing £15.00, may be purchased there.

The order comes into force on 11 October 2013, but if a person aggrieved by the order wishes to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any Regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, that person may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 42 days of the date of this notice make an application to the High Court.
