Prohibition of driving and waiting

Date of order - 14 September 2013

This Order is being introduced to facilitate the safe passage of vehicles attending the Swindon Mela at the Old Town Gardens during the hours of 9am to 8pm.

The effect of the Order is as follow:

Roads to be CLOSED and 'NO WAITING AT ANY TIME' restriction to implemented (except Residents) Belmont Crescent, Quarry Road, St Margarets Road, Winifred Street, Roman Crescent, Evelyn Street, Hesketh Crescent and Marlborough Lane (leading to Croft Sport Centre).

Road subject to NO ENTRY' AND 'ONE WAY' traffic To Westlecot Road from Croft Road
Westlecot Road to be one way in an easterly direction from its junction with Goddard Avenue to its junction with Croft Road

Road subject to 'No Waiting and Loading At Any Time' restriction:

Westlecot Road (North side) The length from its junction with Roman Crescent up to its junction with The North Quarries.

Westlecot Road (South Side) The length from its junction with Belmont

Crescent (opposite Roman Crescent) up to its junction with Grovelands Avenue.

All restrictions and diversions will be indicated by signs, any contravention to the parking restrictions will be issued with a PCN in accordance with the Traffic management Act 2004, s.78, Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (England) General Regulations 2007 and Civil Enforcement of Parking contraventions (England) Representations and Appeals Regulations 2007.
