PUBLIC NOTICE
IMPLEMENTATION OF A NEW TOUCAN PEDESTRIAN CROSSING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Swindon Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, propose to implement a toucan crossing on Moredon Road approx. 35 metres from the roundabout junction with The Street and Purton Road to replace the existing uncontrolled crossing.

The TOUCAN crossing is to provide a missing link in the cycle network from Akers Way to the south of The Street to the north.

A copy of this public notice and plan may be inspected at the One-Stop-Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during normal office hours and online at www.swindon.gov.uk/highwayregulation.

Any person wishing to comment on the proposal outlined above should do so in writing to the undersigned quoting reference (ZA/Moredon Rd/Toucan) by no later than 24 October 2013.
