Pinetrees Community Centre & Park South Community Centre Swindon Invitation for Community Management

Swindon Borough Council wishes to establish community interest in the transfer of two community assets. To this end the Council is now inviting expressions of interest from eligi­ble community organisations interested in taking a lease & managing the Pinetrees Community Centre in Pinehurst Swindon & Park South Community Centre on Cranmore Avenue, Swindon.

For the successful applicant, the community centres offer an ideal base for operations in the heart of residential Swindon with excellent transport links. It provides the opportunity to make a valuable difference to residents, offering an excellent platform for local engagement; for achieving the goals of other well established community organisations; for bringing people and groups together and to increase social capital, cohesion and understanding within local neighbourhoods.

Through the One Swindon strategy the Council wishes to see the potential of these community centres fulfilled with all potential partners working together.

Any expression of interest submitted should be in writing and received the Council offices no later than 12 noon on 24 February 2014. Bidders should note that they may also be required to present their proposals and answer questions on their bid submitted at an interview on 3 March 2014 and should ensure that they are available on this date.
