PROPOSED TRAFFIC CALMING SCHEME - CLIFTON STREET
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with the provisions of Section 90 A-I of the Highways Act 1980 and relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the Council proposes:
To implement speed control tables on Clifton Street measuring 6 metres long across the width of the carriageway from a point 0.2 metres from the kerb and raised to a maximum height of 75 mm at the following locations:
Approx. 74 metres from its junction with Kingshill Road Approx 230 metres from its junction with Kingshill Road Approx 139 metres from its junction with Radnor Street
Clifton Street to be subject to a 20 mph speed limit which will be indicated by roundels and gateway signs.
The traffic calming scheme is being proposed to reduce vehicular traffic speed and help promote pedestrian safety
A copy of this notice and plan is available for inspection at the Council's One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during normal office hours.
Representations to the scheme should be made in writing to reach the undersigned, quoting reference (za/traffic calming/Clifton Stret) stating the grounds on which they are made by no later than 31 January 2014.
