SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL
Audit Commission Act 1998

In accordance with Section 11 of the Accounts and Audit (England) Regulations 2011, notice is hereby given that the audit of the accounts and other financial documents of Swindon Borough Council for the year ended 31st March 2014, concluded by 30 September.

The Council's Auditors, Grant Thornton UK LLP, have issued an unqualified opinion of the accounts. The accounts and related reports are available via the Council's website: http://www.swindon.gov.uk by contacting the Council at the address below.

Publication of Scheme of Councillors' Allowances for 2014/15

The Council has published a Scheme of Councillors' Allowances for 2014/15.

Basic and Special Responsibility Allowances - The Council agreed on 23 January 2014, after considering the recommendations of its Independent Remuneration Panel, that there would be no increase in the levels of Basic, Special and other Allowances payable to Councillors in 2014/15. The Councillors Basic Allowance remains at £7,710. Details of the unchanged Special Responsibility and other Allowances payable are set out in the Scheme of Councillors' Allowances.
