Consultation on the Designation of Hannington Neighbourhood Area
Hannington Parish Council has submitted an application to designate Hannington Parish as a Neighbourhood Area. Swindon Borough Council is conducting the consultation on behalf of Hannington Parish Council, as required by the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.
Representations received will help to inform the decision on whether the area is designated as a "Neighbourhood Area".
If designated the Parish Council would then be able to proceed to produce a Neighbourhood Development Plan for the area. Once adopted, the Neighbourhood Development Plan would help guide the future development of the area.
The Neighbourhood Area Application is available for a seven week consultation from Monday 15th December 2014 until Monday 2nd February 2015 at 5pm.
The documentation is available for public inspections at Swindon Borough Council One-Stop-Shop Wat Tyler House West, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, SN1 2JH (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) and can be viewed at Highworth Library. Or can be viewed on the Swindon Borough Council Website at www.swindon.gov.uk/neighbourhoodplanning, or by contacting the planning department on 01793 466513 or emailing forwardplanning@swindon.gov.uk.
