NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL
FOOTPATH 2 SOUTH MARSTON ORDER 2014

On 17 December 2014 Swindon Borough Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert a length of Footpath 2 at Pigeon Farm in the parish of South Marston, running from OS grid reference SU19580 88293, 270 metres northeast of Chapel Lane, and leading southwest to OS grid reference SU19428 88073, at the northern end of Chapel Lane, South Marston, on to a line running from OS grid reference SU19580 88293, and leading east for 32 metres to OS grid reference SU19612 88291, then southwest for 273 metres to OS grid reference SU19488 88054, then west for 24 metres to OS grid reference SU19464 88054, 40 metres east of Chapel Lane. All distances are approximate.

A copy of the confirmed order and the order map may be inspected free of charge at The One Stop Shop, Beckhampton Street, Swindon from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map, costing £15.00, may be purchased there.

The order comes into force on 30 January 2015, but if a person aggrieved by the order wishes to question its validity, or that of any provision contained within it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, that person may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 42 days of the date of this notice make an application to the High Court.
