The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 Part 2 (6)
Consultation on the Designation of South Marston Neighbourhood Area
South Marston Parish Council has submitted an application to designate part of South Marston Parish as a Neighbourhood Area. Swindon Borough Council is conducting the consultation on behalf of South Marston Parish Council, as required by the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.
Representations received will help to inform the decision on whether the area is designated as a "Neighbourhood Area". If designated the Parish Council would then be able to proceed to produce a Neighbourhood Development Plan for the area. Once adopted, the Neighbourhood Development Plan would help guide the future development of the area.
The Neighbourhood Area Application is available for a six week consultation from Thursday 26th February 2015 until Thursday 9th April 2015 at 5pm.
The documentation is available for public inspection at Swindon Borough Council One-Stop-Shop Wat Tyler House West, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, SN1 2JH (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) and can be viewed at Central Library or Highworth Library during normal opening hours. Or can be viewed on the Swindon Borough Council Website at www.swindon.gov.uk/neighbourhoodplanning, or by contacting the planning department on 01793 466513 or emailing forwardplanning@swindon.gov.uk.
Representations should be sent in writing to Planning Service, Freepost SCE5251, Swindon Borough Council, 5th Floor, Wat Tyler House West, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, SN1 2JH to arrive no later than Thursday 9th April 2015 at 5pm.
